Laughter

A single drop of rain Goes down and moves a Single leaf Agitates it Silent gossip exchanged What mirth Do they share? Even the breeze Will not know it Nor the birds or bees You and I can only See it from a distance Surmise from the diamond drop and leaf exultation That there is somewhere gurgling laughter Though we hear it not.
